We're a broad movement of parents child care providers businesses advocacy organizations who know:

It’s time to fix the child care crisis.

Our Campaign:

Child Care for WA is a broad movement of parents, child care providers, businesses, and advocacy organizations working together to fix the child care crisis. Our campaign is built on the work of providers and parents, who are giving their real expertise about what Washington needs to make child care work for everyone.

Our Work:

The Child Care for WA Campaign advocates for policies that ensure families have access to affordable, high-quality child care that meets their needs; and ensure child care providers receive living wages and benefits honoring the essential work they do.

Child care affects other parts of our lives and how we are able to take care of our children and ourselves, like a date night, vacations, savings. Pumping that back into the state economy would have a big impact.

I only continue in this work for the passion, not for the pay. I want providers to be valued for their important work and the hard work they do.

What infuriates me as a well-educated and experienced women is that I would like to have the option to work and not have to wait until my youngest is 5 to start working again.

In 2025:

We’re calling on lawmakers to take steps to ensure that child care can work for everyone. That includes expanding eligibility to Working Connections Child Care, increasing provider rates, and more. Read our full 2025 legislative agenda to learn more.
